Festival as Gstreamer-plugin

One must have working gstreamer installation prior to this.

*) Install the packages:

$ sudo apt-get install festival festival-dev gstreamer-tools

*) Configure your /etc/festival.scm as such:

(Parameter.set 'Audio_Method 'Audio_Command)
